What We Do

We Specialise in Off-Grid Installations

An off-grid solar system is not connected to the power grid and requires battery storage. The system is deliberately built to become the sole source of electricity, and it contains variable components to do this.

The system meets all of a property’s electrical needs, including the necessary battery capacity and solar panels to ensure that the property can operate successfully on its own.

Solar Installations

The escalating cost of electricity from traditional sources makes a solar installation a no-brainer for many homes. Solar panels generate their own power, and can thus significantly reduce, if not completely eliminate, your monthly electricity expenditure. The greater your bill, the more likely you will gain from switching.

Solutions for Load-Shedding and Backup Power

Speak to one of our advisors to identify combinations of products in your business or household that are vital to you during scheduled and unanticipated power outages. These could be lights, computers, or even the television. Then, let us assist you in devising a strategy to keep these components operational, even during unexpected outages. This is our entry-level solution, designed to save you from being “left in the dark” when the power system goes down.

Hybrid Systems

Hybrid power systems combine the benefits of both technologies. You get grid-supplied electricity, as well as the capacity to store excess solar energy for usage when the sun isn’t shining.

Grid-Connected Solar Systems

A grid-tied solar panel system is simply a solar energy system that is linked to the power grid, and so consumes electricity from both the solar panel system and the power grid.

Grid-tied solutions, which are generally less expensive than off-grid alternatives, employ solar power to feed electricity to your residence whenever the sun is available. When there is insufficient natural energy, it seamlessly switches to the power grid. This method is best suited for small enterprises or households that consume a large amount of electricity during the day. It is also suitable as an entry-level option for consumers searching for an upgradeable solution and, in the future, can be integrated with a battery system.

Solar Compliance Services

We specialize in SSEG solar system registration, Engineer sign-offs, and solar system designs for solar installers and property owners. Our expert team is dedicated to providing superior services to guarantee that you get the most out of your solar energy investment.

What is an SSEG?

SSEG, or small-scale embedded generation, refers to privately-owned systems that generate power on their own. This typically refers to small-scale solar systems (up to 1MW). Small-scale embedded generation (SSEG) also refers to power-producing facilities situated in residential, commercial, or industrial areas where electricity is typically utilized. These are mostly solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, but also include wind and biogas technologies.

What is the significance of registering the SSEG?

All photovoltaic (PV) systems must be properly registered with the applicable local municipality, according to regulation and governmental municipal requirements. If a PV system is not properly registered, it is considered tampering, and will result in significant fines and/or decommissioning.
The registration and processing allows the municipality to ensure the quality of the system and/or installation, in order to avoid potentially fatal electrocutions while specialists work on the network.

What is the significance of COC Certification?

A certificate of compliance (COC) document verifies that the electrical work on a property is up to date with the regulations required by the South African National Standards.

The certificate of compliance is a legal requirement that proves a particular property complies with regulation. This certificate confirms that the property has healthy electrical circuits and wiring that are in optimal working condition according to regulation.
